Assertive Communication for Leaders – in company training

The aim of this training is to empower the participants with the tools for assertiveness that allow for speaking up at work, within multiple dimensions power- and environment-wise. It it through knowledge and practice that assertive communication serve us best, create space for honest conversations without giving up on the connection. Presented notions and concepts serve as the basis for developing healthy self-confidence resulting in honest and effective readiness for cooperation, discussion, and presentation. During the training, we are to cover the basic elements needed for the assertiveness to trigger as well as exercises to hone it, short- and longterm. Then we’ll move to implementing assertiveness into communication using structures both on linguistic level as well as the tactics for perspective planning. Finally, we are to name the most common traps for assertive communication, including the discussion upon the topic of recognizing the interlocutor as an inherent part of the process. The axis for this training is the notion of building self-awareness connected with assertiveness put into practice in the shape of exercises, group work, pair work, and individual input.
